..working with the community towards  a new vision for Restwell Trailer Park lands in Canmore, Alberta

The Restwell Trailer Park has a long history dating back to its first development by the Kernick family in the late 1950s. Previously, the Kernicks operated the property as The Canmore Dairy Farm.

Today under the ownership of Frank Kernick, a local developer, the site continues to be operated as a lease land mobile home community. It encompasses  approximately 220 mobile homes and 250 recreational vehicle sites. Two permanent residential homes and various ancillary buildings are also located on the site. When full, the population of the facility can exceed 1000 people, including permanent and seasonal residents.

Presently long term options for the site are being reviewed and considered. Envisioned is a staged redevelopment of the site to occur over a 15 to 30 year time horizon.

This web site is one of a number of preliminary steps being taken to keep our stakeholders informed as we embark on the redevelopment process. Moving toward a final redevelopment plan, we intend to update these pages regularly in the interest of being informative. We also welcome your input as we go.
